About the Role
IIHM is hiring an experienced Food Production Faculty for its campus in Dehradun. This is a full-time, on-site position where the faculty will mentor and train students in food production while ensuring they are equipped with both theoretical and practical knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Mentorship
- Conduct high-quality lectures and hands-on practical sessions in Food Production.
- Mentor students to develop their culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
- Create and deliver engaging instructional materials and lesson plans.
Curriculum Development
- Design and update course materials to align with industry standards and best practices.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies, including demonstrations and interactive learning techniques.
Student Support
- Provide academic and career counseling to students.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through exams, practical assessments, and projects.
- Support students in internships, live projects, and industry exposure programs.
Industry Collaboration
- Foster partnerships with industry professionals to arrange guest lectures, workshops, and site visits.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in food production and culinary arts to bring contemporary practices into the classroom.
Pre-requisites:
- Extensive experience in the food production industry.
- Strong expertise in culinary arts and food safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in food production or related fields.
- Teaching or training experience in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver them effectively to students.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for academic excellence and student development.
