Job Title: GM (Training & Development)

Role: General Manager - Training & Development

Department: Human Resources

Experience Range: 12–18 years

Salary Range (INR): ₹20,00,000 – ₹35,00,000 per annum

Education:

  • Mandatory: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or Organizational Development
  • Preferred: Certifications in Learning & Development (L&D), Training Management, or related fields

Manufacturing Locations / Offices: Morbi (Gujarat), Bhiwadi (Rajasthan), Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), or Corporate Offices

Role Objective:

The GM (Training & Development) will oversee the design, development, and implementation of the organization's learning and development strategies. The role aims to build a strong, capable workforce by ensuring that training initiatives are aligned with business goals, enhancing employee performance and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the training and development strategy in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and design comprehensive training programs
  • Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training across all levels (from shop floor to senior management)
  • Identify, evaluate, and partner with external training vendors and institutions
  • Develop leadership development programs, succession planning initiatives, and career progression frameworks
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by promoting knowledge sharing and upskilling initiatives
  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and ROI analysis
  • Monitor and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery
  • Oversee the e-learning platforms or digital learning systems
  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership on workforce development, talent management, and organizational learning initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure training interventions are linked to performance management and employee career development

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in strategic training and leadership development
  • Ability to design and implement blended learning solutions (classroom, e-learning, on-the-job training)
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of managing training budgets and large-scale learning projects
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, especially in liaising with senior leadership
  • Data-driven approach to assess training impact and ROI

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing training needs (technical, operational, safety)
  • Familiarity with LMS tools (Learning Management Systems)
  • Understanding of change management principles and their application in training
  • Exposure to HR analytics and workforce competency mapping
