Salary Range (INR): ₹14,00,000 – ₹35,00,000 per annum (based on experience, regulatory engagement, and public affairs exposure)
Education Qualification:
Mandatory: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Law (LLM), or MBA in Healthcare Management / Government Affairs
Manufacturing / Corporate Locations: New Delhi (Govt. liaison hub)
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and government agencies, regulatory bodies (CDSCO, NPPA, DCGI, MOHFW), and industry associations
Monitor and influence public policy, healthcare regulations, drug pricing, and pharma legislation affecting the organization
Represent the company in regulatory forums, parliamentary committees, trade bodies, and government consultations
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in central and state governments, including MoHFW, Department of Pharmaceuticals, DGFT, and others
Track and analyze legislative and policy changes impacting business operations, compliance, and regulatory strategy
Advise senior leadership on regulatory trends, policy risks, and government engagement strategies
Coordinate regulatory advocacy through industry associations like OPPI, IDMA, FICCI, CII, etc.
Draft policy briefs, position papers, and official responses to proposed or enacted regulations
Facilitate government inspections or audits and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports or clarifications
Promote the company’s reputation and interests through ethical and strategic government engagement
Key Skills Required:
In-depth knowledge of India’s healthcare and pharmaceutical regulatory landscape
Strong communication, lobbying, and negotiation skills
Proven experience in government liaison, policy advocacy, and regulatory compliance
Understanding of drug pricing policies, pharmaceutical procurement, clinical trial regulation, and public health schemes
Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and public affairs capability
Familiarity with regulatory and industry databases, circulars, and gazette notifications
