Experience Range: 2 to 7 Years (Hospital or diagnostic lab experience preferred)
Salary Range (INR): ₹2,40,000 – ₹5,50,000 per annum (based on experience, lab complexity, and city tier)
Education:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) (Mandatory)
Advanced training in Molecular Diagnostics / Microbiology / Hematology (Preferred)
Familiarity with NABL / ISO 15189 standards
Registration with State Paramedical Council (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, serology, microbiology, and immunology
Prepare, analyze, and report test results using automated systems and manual techniques
Ensure quality assurance through internal/external quality control processes
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly
Collect and handle patient specimens ensuring biosafety and chain of custody
Operate Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) for result entry and tracking
Follow NABL, ISO, and infection control guidelines strictly
Report abnormal or critical values to clinicians on priority
Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with lab technologists, pathologists, and hospital staff
Key Skills:
Clinical Diagnostic Testing (CBC, LFT, KFT, Cultures, etc.)
Operation of Automated Laboratory Analyzers
Sample Collection & Processing Techniques
Quality Control (IQC/EQC) Practices
LIS / EMR System Handling
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
NABL / CAP / ISO 15189 Knowledge
Infection Control & Biosafety Compliance
Data Entry & Medical Recordkeeping
Communication & Clinical Coordination
