Experience Range: 3 to 15 Years (Experience in clinical labs or hospital-based pathology preferred)

Salary Range (INR): ₹12,00,000 – ₹35,00,000 per annum (based on experience, subspecialty, and hospital scale)

Education:

MBBS + MD / DNB in Pathology (Mandatory)

Fellowship in Hematopathology, Cytopathology, or Histopathology (Preferred)

Registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze laboratory samples including blood, tissue, body fluids, and biopsies to diagnose diseases

Supervise and validate the performance of automated and manual diagnostic tests

Provide timely and accurate diagnostic reports to physicians for treatment planning

Review and sign off pathology, cytology, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry reports

Collaborate with clinicians for multidisciplinary case discussions

Ensure compliance with NABL, CAP, and biomedical waste guidelines

Monitor quality assurance, internal/external audits, and laboratory safety protocols

Train and guide lab technologists, technicians, and junior doctors

Support new test validations, technology upgrades, and lab process improvements
