🎓 Education:

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) / Sociology / Psychology / Public Health (Mandatory)

Certification in Medical Social Work / Counseling / Palliative Care / Community Health (Preferred)

Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, patient rights, and community-based interventions

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the hospital's social work team and community outreach programs

Provide leadership in planning and implementing social services to support patients and families

Assess psychosocial needs of patients, especially those facing chronic illness, trauma, or end-of-life care

Liaise with medical teams, NGOs, government bodies, and families to ensure post-discharge support and rehabilitation

Develop and manage support groups for cancer, dialysis, palliative care, and mental health patients

Ensure timely assistance for financial aid, insurance liaison, blood donation, and legal documentation

Monitor compliance with hospital ethics policies, patient grievance redressal, and consent processes

Lead social audits, prepare departmental reports, and support accreditation documentation (e.g., NABH)

Design training sessions for staff on empathy, communication, and patient-centric care

Coordinate volunteer engagement, CSR initiatives, and awareness campaigns within the community
