Salary Range (INR): ₹8 – ₹15 Lakhs per annum (based on experience, plant complexity, and location)

Educational Qualification:

Mandatory: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering

Preferred: Postgraduate Diploma in Utility Maintenance / Industrial Safety or M.Tech

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager – Maintenance supports the engineering department by executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of critical pharmaceutical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure, ensuring GMP compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and execute preventive & breakdown maintenance of equipment and plant utilities

Monitor HVAC, AHU, WFI, RO, steam boilers, compressors, chillers, and electrical systems

Assist in calibration, qualification, and validation activities

Ensure timely documentation of maintenance work as per GMP and audit norms

Provide technical support during internal and external regulatory inspections (USFDA, WHO, EU-GMP, etc.)

Ensure proper functioning of CMMS (SAP PM/Maximo) and log maintenance data accurately

Coordinate with vendors for spares, AMC services, and system upgrades

Participate in root cause analysis for breakdowns and contribute to CAPA implementation

Ensure compliance with EHS standards and engineering SOPs

Support continuous improvement initiatives in energy savings and asset uptime

Key Skills & Competencies:

Hands-on knowledge of pharma utilities and cleanroom equipment

Familiarity with engineering documentation and GMP protocols

Working knowledge of HVAC, WFI, and process automation systems

Experience with CMMS tools (SAP PM or Maximo)

Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities

Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration

Basic understanding of EHS and audit readiness requirements
